Sonnets: Idea Xxix To The Senses Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCEFGFGHH

When conquering love did first my heart assailA
Unto mine aid I summoned every senseB
Doubting if that proud tyrant should prevailA
My heart should suffer for mine eyes' offenceB
But he with beauty first corrupted sightC
My hearing bribed with her tongue's harmonyD
My taste by her sweet lips drawn with delightC
My smelling won with her breath's spiceryE
But when my touching came to play his partF
The king of senses greater than the restG
He yields love up the keys unto my heartF
And tells the others how they should be blestG
And thus by those of whom I hoped for aidH
To cruel love my soul was first betrayedH
