| Toiling with pain my labour never ceaseth | C |
| In grievous passions my woes still bemoaning | D |
| My eyes with tears against the fire striving | D |
| Whose scorching gleed my heart to cinders turneth | C |
| But with those drops the flame again reviving | D |
| Still more and more it to my torment burneth | C |
| With Sisyphus thus do I roll the stone | E |
| And turn the wheel with damn d Ixion | F |
