Sonnet Xxx: Those Priests Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBCDEDEFCFCDD

To the VestalsA
-
Those priests which first the Vestal fire begunB
Which might be borrow'd from no earthly flameC
Devis'd a vessel to receive the SunB
Being steadfastly opposed to the sameC
Where with sweet wood laid curiously by artD
On which the Sun might by reflection beatE
Receiving strength from every secret partD
The fuel kindled with celestial heatE
Thy blessed eyes the sun which lights this fireF
Thy holy thoughts they be the Vestal flameC
The precious odors be my chaste desireF
My breast's the vessel which includes the sameC
Thou art my Vesta thou my Goddess artD
Thy hallow'd temple only is my HeartD
