Sonnet Xxii: Love, Banish'd Heav'n Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDEFBGBHH

Love banish'd Heav'n on Earth was held in scornA
Wand'ring abroad in need and beggaryB
And wanting friends though of a Goddess bornA
Yet crav'd the alms of such as passed byC
I like a man devout and charitableD
Clothed the naked lodg'd this wand'ring guestE
With sighs and tears still furnishing his tableD
With what might make the miserable blestE
But this ungrateful for my good desertF
Entic'd my thoughts against me to conspireB
Who gave consent to steal away my heartG
And set my breast his lodging on a fireB
Well well my friends when beggars grow thus boldH
No marvel then though charity grow coldH
