Sonnet Xlix: Thou Leaden Brain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEFGHIHIJJ

Thou leaden brain which censur'st what I writeA
And say'st my lines be dull and do not moveB
I marvel not thou feel'st not my delightA
Which never felt'st my fiery touch of loveC
But thou whose pen hath like a pack horse serv'dD
Whose stomach unto gall hath turn'd thy foodE
Whose senses like poor prisoners hunger starv'dF
Whose grief hath parch'd thy body dried thy bloodG
Thou which hast scorned life and hated deathH
And in a moment mad sober glad and sorryI
Thou which hast bann'd thy thoughts and curs'd thy breathH
With thousand plagues more than in PurgatoryI
Thou thus whose spirit Love in his fire refinesJ
Come thou and read admire applaud my linesJ
