| And in bare words paint out my passion's pain | B |
| Thus sundry men their sundry words repeat | C |
| I pass not I how men affected be | D |
| Nor who commends or discommends my verse | E |
| It pleaseth me if I my woes rehearse | E |
| And in my lines if she my love may see | D |
| Only my comfort still consists in this | F |
| Writing her praise I cannot write amiss | F |
