Sonnet Lxiii: Truce, Gentle Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEDFGHGHII

Truce gentle Love a parley now I craveA
Methinks 'tis long since first these wars begunB
Nor thou nor I the better yet can haveC
Bad is the match where neither party wonB
I offer free conditions of fair peaceD
My heart for hostage that it shall remainE
Discharge our forces here let malice ceaseD
So for my pledge thou give me pledge againF
Or if no thing but death will serve thy turnG
Still thirsting for subversion of my stateH
Do what thou canst rase massacre and burnG
Let the world see the utmost of thy hateH
I send defiance since if overthrownI
Thou vanquishing the conquest is my ownI
