Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFEFBFBFGA

Not thy graue Counsells nor thy Subiects loueA
Nor all that famous Scottish royaltieB
Or what thy soueraigne greatnes may approueC
Others in vaine doe but historifieD
When thine owne glorie from thy selfe doth springE
As though thou did'st all meaner prayses scorneF
Of Kings a Poet and the Poets KingE
They Princes but thou Prophets do'st adorneF
Whilst others by their Empires are renown'dB
Thou do'st enrich thy Scotland with renowneF
And Kings can but with Diadems be crown'dB
But with thy Laurell thou doo'st crowne thy CrowneF
That they whose pens euen life to Kings doe giueG
In thee a King shall seeke them selues to liueA
