Singe wee the Rose	A
Then which no flower there growes	A
Is sweeter	B
And aptly her compare	C
With what in that is rare	C
A parallel none meeter	C

Nature that flower doth arme	I

The touch giues her offence	A
But with reuerence	A
Vnto her selfe a stranger	C

All which perfection	J
Such harmony infouldinge	K

Ere it was descided	E

Began the greeuous war	C
Of York and Lancaster	C
That did many yeeres indure	C

As were in all that heate	E

By her as many harts	A
As men on either parts	A
That with her eies hath slaine	J
