Faire Loue rest thee heereA
Neuer yet was morne so cleereA
Sweete be not vnkindeB
Let me thy fauour findeB
Or else for loue I dieB
-
Harke this pretty bubling springC
How it makes the Meadowes ringC
Loue now stand my friendB
Heere let all sorrow endB
And I will honour theeD
-
See where little Cupid lyesE
Looking babies in her eyesE
Cupid helpe me nowF
Lend to me thy boweG
To wound her that wounded meD
-
Heere is none to see or tellH
All our flocks are feeding byB
This Banke with Roses spredB
Oh it is a dainty bedB
Fit for my Loue and meD
-
Harke the birds in yonder GroaueA
How they chaunt vnto my LoueH
Loue be kind to meD
As I haue beene to theeD
For thou hast wonne my hartB
-
Calme windes blow you faireA
-
Rock her thou gentle ayreA
O the morne is nooneI
The euening comes too sooneI
To part my Loue and meD
-
The Roses and thy lips doo meeteB
Oh that life were halfe so sweeteB
Who would respect his breathJ
That might die such a deathJ
Oh that life thus might dieB
-
All the bushes that be neereA
With sweet Nightingales besetB
Hush sweete and be stillH
Let them sing their fillH
There's none our ioyes to letB
-
Sunne why doo'st thou goe so fastB
Oh why doo'st thou make such hastB
It is too early yetB
So soone from ioyes to flitB
Why art thou so vnkindB
-
See my little Lambkins runneI
Looke on them till I haue doneI
Hast not on the nightB
To rob me of her lightB
That liue but by her eyesE
-
Alas sweete Loue we must departB
Harke my dogge begins to barkeK
Some bodie's comming neereA
They shall not find vs heereA
For feare of being chidB
-
Take my Garland and my GloueH
Weare it for my sake my LoueH
To morrow on the greeneI
Thou shalt be our Sheepheards QueeneI
Crowned with Roses gayL
