Amour 38 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFFFGG

If chaste and pure deuotion of my youthA
Or glorie of my Aprill springing yeeresB
Vnfained loue in naked simple truthA
A thousand vowes a thousand sighes and tearesB
Or if a world of faithful seruice doneC
Words thoughts and deeds deuoted to her honorD
Or eyes that haue beheld her as theyr sunneC
With admiration euer looking on herD
A lyfe that neuer ioyd but in her loueE
A soule that euer hath ador'd her nameF
A fayth that time nor fortune could not moueF
A Muse that vnto heauen hath raised her fameF
Though these nor these deserue to be imbracedG
Yet faire vnkinde too good to be disgracedG
