Amour 30 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCADAADEE

Three sorts of serpents doe resemble theeA
That daungerous eye killing CockatriceB
Th' inchaunting Syren which doth so enticeB
The weeping Crocodile these vile pernicious threeA
The Basiliske his nature takes from theeA
Who for my life in secret wait do'st lyeC
And to my heart send'st poyson from thine eyeC
Thus do I feele the paine the cause yet cannot seeA
Faire mayd no more but Mayr maid be thy nameD
Who with thy sweet aluring harmonyA
Hast playd the thiefe and stolne my hart from meA
And like a Tyrant mak'st my griefe thy gameD
The Crocodile who when thou hast me slaineE
Lament'st my death with teares of thy disdaineE
