Vertues Idea in virginitieA
By inspiration came conceau'd with thoughtA
The time is come deliuered she must beB
Where first my loue into the world was broughtA
Vnhappy borne of all vnhappy dayA
So luckles was my Babes nativityB
Saturne chiefe Lord of the Ascendant layA
The wandring Moone in earths triplicitieB
Now or by chaunce or heauens hie prouidenceC
His Mother died and by her LegacieC
Fearing the stars presaging influenceC
Bequeath'd his wardship to my soueraignes eyeD
Where hunger staruen wanting lookes to liueA
Still empty gorg'd with cares consumption pyndeB
Salt luke warm teares shee for his drink did giueE
And euer more with sighes he supt and dyndeB
And thus poore Orphan lying in distresseC
Cryes in his pangs God helpe the motherlesseC
