The Umblicus Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDED FFGH IDJD DKDL MNOP QRSR

All of a suddenA
I heard a deafening soundB
With cold fear ladenA
My heart was choked and boundB
-
I told myselfC
I can't but wait and seeD
What is reservedE
What shall become of meD
-
Echoes sounding in my earsF
Shadows rounding causing fearsF
Dangers warning drawing nearG
Dark clouds folding dripping tearsH
-
These spoken liesI
Shall be used against meD
But these act of mineJ
Shall be used to get meD
-
Singing silentlyD
Making my voice weakK
Mourning sorrowfullyD
Letting the countenance sickL
-
If I can but show some courageM
What if it can match the heatN
I must rise and be free from bondageO
Life is down but faith believesP
-
Next will be my greatest challengeQ
One which will decide my fateR
To bring an end to this life torrentS
Before it's heard and said I'm lateR
