Quiet Work Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCA ADDA EFG EFH

One lesson Nature let me learn of theeA
One lesson which in every wind is blownB
One lesson of two duties kept at oneC
Though the loud world proclaim their enmityA
-
Of toil unsever'd from tranquilityA
Of labor that in lasting fruit outgrowsD
Far noisier schemes accomplish'd in reposeD
Too great for haste too high for rivalryA
-
Yes while on earth a thousand discords ringE
Man's fitful uproar mingling with his toilF
Still do thy sleepless ministers move onG
-
Their glorious tasks in silence perfectingE
Still working blaming still our vain turmoilF
Laborers that shall not fail when man is goneH
