Indifference Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD BEBE FBGB HIHI JKLK MNON

I must not say that thou wert trueA
Yet let me say that thou wert fairB
And they that lovely face who viewA
They will not ask if truth be thereB
-
Truth what is truth Two bleeding heartsC
Wounded by men by Fortune triedD
Outwearied with their lonely partsC
Vow to beat henceforth side by sideD
-
The world to then was stern and drearB
Their lot was but to weep and moanE
Ah let then keep their faith sincereB
For neither could subsist aloneE
-
But souls whom some benignant breathF
Has charm'd at birth from gloom and careB
These ask no love these plight no faithG
For they are happy as they areB
-
The world to them may homage makeH
And garlands for their forehead weaveI
And what the world can give they takeH
But they bring more than they receiveI
-
They smile upon the world their earsJ
To one demand alone are coyK
They will not give us love and tearsL
They bring us light and warmth and joyK
-
It was not love that heav'd thy breastM
Fair child it was the bliss withinN
Adieu and say that one at leastO
Was just to what he did not winN
