A Picture At Newstead Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD ABCA EFG EFG

What made my heart at Newstead fullest swellA
'Twas not the thought of Byron of his cryB
Stormily sweet his Titan agonyC
It was the sight of that Lord ArundelD
-
Who struck in heat the child he loved so wellA
And the child's reason flickered and did dieB
Painted he will'd it in the galleryC
They hang the picture doth the story tellA
-
Behold the stern mail'd father staff in handE
The little fair hair'd son with vacant gazeF
Where no more lights of sense or knowledge areG
-
Methinks the woe which made that father standE
Baring his dumb remorse to future daysF
Was woe than Byron's woe more tragic farG
