Sonnet Xl: On The Low Margin Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

On the low margin of a murm'ring streamA
As rapt in meditation's arms I layB
Each aching sense in slumbers stole awayB
While potent fancy form'd a soothing dreamA
O'er the Leucadian deep a dazzling beamA
Shed the bland light of empyrean dayB
But soon transparent shadows veil'd each rayB
While mystic visions sprang athwart the gleamA
Now to the heaving gulf they seem'd to bendC
And now across the sphery regions glideD
Now in mid air their dulcet voices blendC
Awake awake the restless phalanx criedD
See ocean yawns the lover's woes to endC
Plunge the green wave and bid thy griefs subsideD
