Echo To Him Who Complains Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEG HIHI JKJK LMLM

O FLY thee from the shades of nightA
Where the loud tempests yelling riseB
Where horrror wings her sullen flightA
Beneath the bleak and lurid skiesB
-
As the pale light'ning swiftly gleamsC
O'er the scorch'd wood thy well known formD
More radiant than an angel seemsC
Contending with the ruthless stormD
-
I see the scowling witch DESPAIRE
Drink the big tear that scalds thy cheekF
While thro' the dark and turbid airE
The screams of haggard ENVY breakG
-
From the cold mountain's flinty steepH
I hear the dashing waters roarI
Ah turn thee turn thee cease to weepH
Thou hast no reason to deploreI
-
See fell DESPAIR expiring fallJ
See ENVY from thy glances startK
No more shall howling blasts appallJ
Or with'ring grief corrode thy heartK
-
See FRIENDSHIP from her azure eyeL
Drops the fond balm for ev'ry painM
She comes the offspring of the skyL
TO RAZE THE TROUBLES OF THE brainM
