Sovereignty Of God And Free Agency Of Man Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIDJDKK L DBMM

Thou art a perfect Sovereign oh my GodA
And I rejoice to think that thou art soB
That all events are under thy controlC
And that thou knowest all I think and doD
But some may ask then why am I to blameE
Because I sin if God hath made me thusF
Stop stop my friend God tempteth not to sinG
Thou dost it of thy own free will and choiceH
Though God is Sovereign we free agents areI
Accountable to him for all we doD
Feel think or say and at the last great dayJ
A most exact account must render tooD
With this conclusion be thou satisfiedK
For all who will accept him Christ hath diedK

God is a Sovereign man free agent tooD
How these to reconcile I do not knowB
But this I know if lost the blame is mineM
If saved the praise oh God be only thineM
