Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNNO

Thou who the verdant plain dost traverse hereA
While Thames among his willows from thy viewB
Retires o stranger stay thee and the sceneC
Around contemplate well This is the placeD
Where England's ancient barons clad in armsE
And stern with conquest from their tyrant kingF
Then render'd tame did challenge and secureG
The charter of thy freedom Pass not onH
Till thou hast bless'd their memory and paidI
Those thanks which God appointed the rewardJ
Of public virtue and if chance thy homeK
Salute thee with a father's honour'd nameL
Go call thy sons instruct them what a debtM
They owe their ancestors and make them swearN
To pay it by transmitting down intireN
Those sacred rights to which themselves were bornO
