If Rightly Tuneful Bards Decide Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCCDCDEEFGFGHHIJ IJKKLMLMNN

If rightly tuneful bards decideA
If it be fix'd in love's decreesB
That beauty ought not to be triedA
But by its native power to pleaseB
Then tell me youths and lovers tellC
What fair can Amoret excellC
Behold that bright unsullied smileC
And wisdom speaking in her mienD
Yet she so artless all the whileC
So little studious to be seenD
We nought but instant gladness knowE
Nor think to whom the gift we oweE
But neither music nor the powersF
Of youth and mirth and frolick cheerG
Add half that sunshine to the hoursF
Or make life's prospect half so clearG
As memory brings it to the eyeH
From scenes where Amoret was byH
Yet not a satirist could thereI
Or fault or indiscretion findJ
Nor any prouder sage declareI
One virtue pictur'd in his mindJ
Whose form with lovelier colours glowsK
Than Amoret's demeanor showsK
This sure is beauty's happiest partL
This gives the most unbounded swayM
This shall inchant the subject heartL
When rose and lily fade awayM
And she be still in spite of timeN
Sweet Amoret in all her primeN
