A Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDFGFH IJKLMNMNOPQPRBSRRB

The Shape alone let others prizeA
The Features of the FairB
I look for Spirit in her EyesA
And Meaning in her AirB
A Damask Cheek an Iv'ry ArmC
Shall ne'er my Wishes winD
Give me an animated FormE
That speaks a Mind withinD
A Face where awful Honour shinesF
Where Sense and Sweetness moveG
And Angel Innocence refinesF
The Tenderness of LoveH
-
These are the Soul of Beauty's frameI
Without whose vital AidJ
Unfinish'd all her Features seemK
And all her Roses deadL
But ah where both their Charms uniteM
How perfect is the ViewN
With ev'ry Image of DelightM
With Graces ever newN
Of Pow'r to charm the greatest WoeO
The wildest Rage controulP
Diffusing Mildness o'er the BrowQ
And Rapture thro' the SoulP
Their Pow'r but faintly to expressR
All Language must despairB
But go beholdS
Arpasia'sR
FaceR
And read it perfect thereB
