Fame Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKALMNOPQRQ STUVWMXYZA2AB2XX

HAVE I played fellowship with night to seeA
The allied armies break our gates at dawnB
And let our general in By Bacchus noC
I have not left my stall sir I'm too poorD
For lazy prentices to hand my waresE
Such delicate chains like amber linked with loveF
Such silvered pins like hate to let love outG
What know I But my Guidarello wentH
To the fountain of the coppersmiths when firstI
The double cypress showed upon the eastJ
He's home poor fool hoarse as a moulting birdK
From loud throat loyaltyA
'The banners burnL
Still in my soul ' he cries 'as then in airM
The gray air the gray houses and the flowersN
The flowers my father Thyme and twisted sweetsO
From the blue hills I dream of and thin bellsP
Of faery folds pomegranates spun in flameQ
Flame of red rose and golden flame of soundR
Blown from hot throated trumpets and the flameQ
Of her proud eyesS
She rode beside the dukeT
In velvet coloured as a pansy isU
And threaded round with gold Her mantle strainedV
On the warm wind behind her golden tooW
Gold as the spires of lilies and her hairM
And her dark eyes were danced across with gold 'X
Gold gold poor fool and she was bought for goldY
A golden grief to ride at a duke's reinZ
Eh well The great grow love in idlenessA2
About their courts Did Guidarello seeA
Our general too 'A little tired old manB2
Clad in worn sables with a silver star 'X
He told me 'fain to find his house and sleep 'X
