Implications Of One Plus One Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DDAE ADDF GHID AJAK DLMN LDAO PDAQ

Sometimes we collide tectonic plates mergingA
continents shoving crumpling down into the moltenB
veins of fire deep in the earth and raisingA
tons of rock into jagged crests of SierraC
-
Sometimes your hands drift on me milkweed'sD
airy silk wingtip's feathery caressesD
our lips grazing a drift of desires gatheringA
like fog over warm water thickening to rainE
-
Sometimes we go to it heartily diggingA
burrowing grunting tossing up coversD
like loose earth nosing into the other'sD
flesh with hot nozzles and wallowing thereF
-
Sometimes we are kids making out sillyG
in the quilt tickling the xylophone spineH
blowing wet jokes loud as a wholeI
slumber party bouncing till the bed breaksD
-
I go round and round you sometimes scoutingA
blundering seeking a way in the high boxwoodJ
maze I penetrate running lungs burstingA
toward the fountain of green fire at the heartK
-
Sometimes you open wide as cathedral doorsD
and yank me inside Sometimes you slitherL
into me like a snake into its burrowM
Sometimes you march in with a brass bandN
-
Ten years of fitting our bodies togetherL
and still they sing wild songs in new keysD
It is more and less than love timingA
chemistry magic and will and luckO
-
One plus one equal one unknowable exceptP
in the moment not convertible into wordsD
not explicable or philosophically interestingA
But it is And it is And it is AmenQ
