A Work Of Artifice Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHAIJFAKALMANO PMQR

The bonsai treeA
in the attractive potB
could have grown eighty feet tallC
on the side of a mountainD
till split by lightningE
But a gardenerF
carefully pruned itG
It is nine inches highH
Every day as heA
whittles back the branchesI
the gardener croonsJ
It is your natureF
to be small and cozyA
domestic and weakK
how lucky little treeA
to have a pot to grow inL
With living creaturesM
one must begin very earlyA
to dwarf their growthN
the bound feetO
the crippled brainP
the hair in curlersM
the hands youQ
love to touchR
