Twenty Twenty - horrors a plenty
What an upheaval , joy was scanty
Like a T20 cricket match
We all thought it was a small batch
You little beast , you made it a feast
Sparing none , be sinner or a priest
You gave us stress and now new strain
How long do we endure this pain
Rich got richer, poorer poorer
White collars zoomed, blue ones doomed
The front line fight as they do the nurse
Olders cursed, leave behind their purse
We Putin our best, tried to Trump thee
“Modi”fying our unaligned stance
Fauci fought and so did Lee
You “Ping” ed back with more vengeance
Now 20-21 is coming on
But half of you is still latching on
your plans look deeply sinister again
As the world races to a vaccine rain
If you wanted us to learn a lesson
And lessen our abuse of the environ
Trust you me , we are an incorrigible lot
As you leave we shall unravel a new plot
As Donald ducks out in January
Sanity should come in by February
While you fade and we shall March
By April say, or May be by June
You should die, leave us to re-tune
Welcome 21!
