Now I stand,
Looking down at our new desert land once filled with life.
I once wanted this. Oh no don't get me wrong
The serenity I meant, not the cause.
But now how I miss it so.
So it all began,
When the world welcomed a visitor
An unexpected one
He came to draw us away from ourselves
They say he's Covid-19.
But I know
He's soon to leave
Just like he blew from the east
A wind from the west shall drive it away.
And our present dessert
Shall once be filled with life again
Free from Mr Covid.
