I lost my sunshine,
It's all dark again.
He came and left like it was predicted.
I still listen to songs and think of him,
Using the headphones he gave me.
Do I ever cross your mind?
I'm sorry I couldn't love you right.
I broke you when I got hurt,
Should've loved you quietly with everything I had.
Can you please only remember the good times,
Which felt just like fairy tales?
Don't hold the thorns too close to your chest
Only cherish the flowers, if any are left.
Maybe it's just another sad book
Where we couldn't be together.
I hope the author writes of us again,
Somewhere we can have our forever.
