Our Chess Games Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCCEAEAFGFH

They made you into a weaponA
Then told you to find out peaceB
I killed a part of myself in heavenA
To bring you living in one pieceB
Threaten with power to manipulateC
They took you to war to invadeD
Oh my soldier why did you participateC
They killed you under the name of fateC
From the oldest hearts of humanityE
Wars gained nothing but segregationA
To their affairs they claimed its legalityE
Yet to our race a bleak aggravationA
And at the end of our chess gamesF
All pawns rooks knights and bishopsG
All the dead who lost their namesF
With Queen and King go to the same boxH
