Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFG HIJI EKEK L

Truth and Lie had one day metA
They had lots of stories to tellB
Lie planned everything insteadC
As they ended up beside a wellB
-
The water seemed very beautifulD
Lie suggested they bath togetherE
The Truth thought that is fancifulD
And they undressed each otherE
-
Suddenly the Lie jumped outF
Wearing white instead of blackG
The furious truth cried in shoutF
Trying to get her clothes backG
-
The World saw the Truth nakedH
In the well she dropped her nameI
Mortified and with deceit fatedJ
Vanished forever hiding her shameI
-
Since then Lie travels quite entireE
Dressed like Truth in her youthK
Because the World has no desireE
To stand and meet the naked TruthK
