Sanctuary Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEE FFGHIIJJKLHIGH above hate I dwell | A |
O storms farewell | A |
Though at my sill your daggered thunders play | B |
Lawless and loud to morrow as to day | B |
To me they sound more small | C |
Than a young fay s footfall | C |
Soft and far sunken forty fathoms low | D |
In Long Ago | D |
And winnowed into silence on that wind | E |
Which takes wars like a dust and leaves but love behind | E |
- | |
Higher Felicity | F |
Doth climb to me | F |
And bank me in with turf and marjoram | G |
Such as bees lip or the new wean d lamb | H |
With golden barberry wreath | I |
And bluets thick beneath | I |
One grosbeak too mid apple buds a guest | J |
With bud red breast | J |
Is singing singing All the hells that rage | K |
Float less than April fog below our hermitage | L |
