Pax Paganica Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDABED FGHIFGHI

GOOD oars for Arnold s sakeA
By Laleham lightly boundB
And near the bank O softC
Darling swanD
Let not the o erweary wakeA
Anew from natal groundB
But where he slumbered oftE
Slumber onD
-
Be less than boat or birdF
The pensive stream alongG
No murmur make nor gleamH
At his sideI
Where was it he had heardF
Of warfare and of wrongG
Not there in any dreamH
Since he diedI
