The Untrustworthy Speaker Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CBD EFG HIJK LLMNO PMQR HNSTU DVW

Don't listen to me my heart's been brokenA
I don't see anything objectivelyB
-
I know myself I've learned to hear like a psychiatristC
When I speak passionatelyB
That's when I'm least to be trustedD
-
It's very sad really all my life I've been praisedE
For my intelligence my powers of language of insightF
In the end they're wastedG
-
I never see myselfH
Standing on the front steps Holding my sisters handI
That's why I can't accountJ
For the bruises on her arm where the sleeve endsK
-
In my own mind I'm invisible that's why I'm dangerousL
People like me who seem selflessL
We're the cripples the liarsM
We're the ones who should be factored outN
In the interest of truthO
-
When I'm quiet that's when the truth emergesP
A clear sky the clouds like white fibersM
Underneath a little gray house The azaleasQ
Red and bright pinkR
-
If you want the truth you have to close yourselfH
To the older sister block her outN
When I living thing is hurt like thatS
In its deepest workingsT
All function is alteredU
-
That's why I'm not to be trustedD
Because a wound to the heartV
Is also a wound to the mindW
