Retreating Wind Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AA BC ADEFG HIJHK LKMN OPIQD

When I made you I loved youA
Now I pity youA
-
I gave you all you neededB
bed of earth blanket of blue airC
-
As I get further away from youA
I see you more clearlyD
Your souls should have been immense by nowE
not what they areF
small talking thingsG
-
I gave you every giftH
blue of the spring morningI
time you didn't know how to useJ
you wanted more the one giftH
reserved for another creationK
-
Whatever you hopedL
you will not find yourselves in the gardenK
among the growing plantsM
Your lives are not circular like theirsN
-
your lives are the bird's flightO
which begins and ends in stillnessP
which begins and ends in form echoingI
this arc from the white birchQ
to the apple treeD
