| Slowly he lifts his head a woman | C |
| appears carrying roses | D |

| of suffering then always the transparent page | H |
| raised to the window until its veins emerge | I |
| as words finally filled with ink | J |

| And I am meant to understand | K |

| or to the gray house held firmly in place by dusk | L |

| because I must enter their lives | M |
| it is spring the pear tree | N |
| filming with weak white blossoms | O |
