The great man turns his back on the islandA
Now he will not die in paradiseB
nor hear againC
the lutes of paradise among the olive treesD
by the clear pools under the cypresses TimeE
begins now in which he hears againC
that pulse which is the narrativeF
sea at dawn when its pull is strongestG
What has brought us hereH
will lead us away our shipI
sways in the tinted harbor waterJ
Now the spell is endedK
Give him back his lifeL
sea that can only move forwardM
