Mary's Dream Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

The moon had climbed the eastern hillA
Which rises o'er the sands of DeeB
And from its highest summit shedC
A silver light on tower and treeB
When Mary laid her down to sleepD
Her thoughts on Sandy far at seaB
When soft and low a voice was heardE
Saying 'Mary weep no more for me 'F
-
-
She from her pillow gently raisedG
Her head to see who there might beB
And saw young Sandy shivering standH
With visage pale and hollow e'eB
'Oh Mary dear cold is my clayI
It lies beneath the stormy seaB
Far far from thee I sleep in deathJ
Dear Mary weep no more for meB
-
-
'Three stormy nights and stormy daysK
We tossed upon the raging mainL
And long we strove our bark to saveM
But all our striving was in vainL
E'en then when terror chilled my bloodN
My heart was filled with love of theeB
The storm is past and I'm at restO
So Mary weep no more for meB
-
-
'Oh maiden dear yourself prepareP
We soon shall meet upon that shoreQ
Where love is free from doubt and careP
And you and I shall part no more '-
Loud crew the cock the shadow fledC
No more her Sandy did she seeB
But soft the passing spirit saidC
'Sweet Mary weep no more for me '-
