Radiant notesA
piercing my narrow chested roomB
beating down through my ceilingC
smeared with unshapenD
belly prints of dreamsE
drifted out of old smokesF
trillions of icilyG
peltering notesA
out of just one canaryG
all grown to songH
as a plant to its stalkI
from too long craning at a sky lightJ
and a square of second hand blueK
-
Silvery strident throatL
so assiduously serenading my brainD
flinching underM
the glittering hail of your notesA
were you not safe behind rats know what thickness of plastered wallN
I might fathomO
your golden deliriumO
with throttle of finger and thumbO
shutting valve of bright songH

But if away off on a fork of grassed earthP
socketing an inlet reach of blue waterM
if canaries do they sing out of cagesQ
flung such luminous notesA
they would sink in the spiritR
lie germinalN
housed in the soul as a seed in the earthP
to break forth at spring with the crocuses into young smilesS
on the mouthT
Or glancing off buoyantlyN
radiate notes in one keyG
with the sparkle of rain dropsU
on the petal of a cactus flowerM
focusing the just out sunD
-
Cactus why cactusV
God GodW
somewhere away offX
cactus flowers star yellowN
ray out of spiked greenD
and empties of skyY
roll you over and overM
like a mother her baby in long grassZ
And only the wind scandal mongers with gum treesA2
pricking multiple leavesB2
at his amazing storyG
