I Married You Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEABCFG

I married you for all the wrong reasonsA
charmed by your dangerous family historyB
by the innocent muscles bulging like hiddenC
weapons under your shirt by your naive tiesD
the colors of painted scraps of sunsetE
I was charmed too by your assumptionsA
about me my serenity that mirror waiting to beB
cracked my flashy acrobatics with knives in the kitchenC
How wrong we both were about each otherF
and how happy we have beenG
