Emily Dickinson Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABAACDEFGH

We think of hidden in a white dressA
among the folded linens and sachetsA
of well kept cupboards or just out of sightB
sending jellies and notes with no addressA
to all the wondering Amherst neighborsA
Eccentric as New England weatherC
the stiff wind of her mind stinging or gentleD
blew two half imagined lovers offE
Yet legend won't explain the sheer sanityF
of vision the serious mischiefG
of language the economy of painH
