The Riddle Of The Sphinx Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGFH

Thou gazing face above the shifting sandsA
Oh turn thy tearless eyes and answer meB
Will honour come to thee and to thy landC
That this should beB
-
Those swarthy adamantine breasts of stoneD
Are now matured beneath thine Egypt sunE
Wilt profit by this brood of iron boneD
That this be doneE
-
Oh answer me thou silent gazing faceF
All gifted with the wisdom of the yearsG
These teeth of Jason will they bring thee graceF
Or bring thee tearsH
