The Dreamer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCBCDEFD

He lay within a neat white sheeted bedA
And stared at distance with his wide young eyesB
Eyes that held space had dreams and saw the spreadA
Of the huge seas and saw the stretch of skiesB
Watched streets and roofs and clouds and quiet rainsC
Eyes that knew the way each slow wind fliesB
Through long green lengths of winding country lanesC
Eyes that held time and saw all unafraidD
Each passing hourE
Fall like a sleeping flowersF
Against a narrow bladeD
