Memories Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFGEG

I see wild waves that break and breaking runA
And the wild sea birds wheeling round the shipsB
But at the dawn the coming of the sunA
I see your red red lipsB
-
I see the cold moon now with fresh delightC
And the stars arise anew and yet ariseD
But in the night the blackness of the nightC
I see your sad sad eyesD
-
I hear the engines throbbing as we rideE
And the men s songs I hear great throatsF
RejoiceG
But in the silence when all the songs have diedE
I hear your soft soft voiceG
