Ease. 1914 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAABABACCADAD

The iron is hidden in forgetfulnessA
A smoothness comes to men and lies on landsA
Women of peace arise in lustred dressA
and hold aloft their sleek and perfect handsA
the birds are in the morn the bees in the noonB
The eve has song and sleep and slow reposeA
A lazy Ease treads soft on feathered shoonB
that leaves no sign to show the way she goesA
Soft cheeks there are and Guile with coiling hairC
smiles at the earth and croons within her chairC
The slow leaves fall and rustling Night beginsA
Her reign of furriness the slinking feetD
Of half seen things and thoughts bring brushing sinsA
and warmths of fog that touch a smouldering heatD
