Prickles And Blisters Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDB EFEGHEIJKLMNONPQCRSC KT

My will is greater thanA
The prickles and blisters on the soles of my feetB
These prickles and blistersC
Endured from the path draped with rosesD
The thorns of which slyly protrudes to feed on the soles of my feetB
-
Tip toeingE
Even so it s shrilling barbs pierced through my bare fleshF
Plantars on the soles of my feet burstingE
Beneath an alluring bed of a finely trimmed runic bushesG
The path diverts towards the smooth flooring of blazing lava I have yet to crossH
Maybe this time instead of tip toeingE
I should take strides by the corners of my heelsI
Though my heart is racing almost crippled with fearJ
My pain towards the end is silenced with the anaesthesis of determinationK
From a distance the on looker you areL
You think of me stupidM
Maybe na veN
Weak evenO
Yet the pride within meN
The love of my soulP
The respect of my heartQ
Pushes my limbs to move across the spikes and firesC
And when I sitR
To take a breathS
I unpluck the thorns and peel the blistersC
One by oneK
And a sense of pride blushes over my cheeksT

Poet's note: This is a reflection of this crippling journey of my life; the challenges I face daily, though with determination, hope and faith to get out of it-sane.
