Inside Her Grave Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAAADEFG HIJABKL MNOPQRS THUVKPWXY

I sit and wonderA
The colour of the coffin she is tucked inB
The cardinal direction she's facedC
I wonderA
If she was dawned in cerements to honour herA
And complement her beautifully aged figureA
Was there at least empathy to her bonesD
Maybe a few kisses on her foreheadE
Some compassion on her soul beforeF
The box was shut and tightly sealedG
-
Inside her graveH
I feel the temperature of the soilI
The gravel and the stones hoisted out the six feetJ
hole she's concealed underA
And the weight of the rocks thrown on her coffinB
Should one digs through and scar her lifelessK
cold fleshL
-
Inside the vault she is laidM
I idle with the hopeN
To see unfamiliar imageO
Maybe engravingP
That readsQ
Do not worryR
For I am being your mother at peaceS
-
My brooding would then evaporateT
I would sit on the grass by her graveH
And study the inscription on the chest of her tombU
I would bring her to my visionV
And admire as she mingles with the lifelessK
I'd see her in hand with her consort strollingP
around the mausoleumW
Watching them converse freely by their chambersX
About those they've left behindY
