Too Black Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDEEDFF

I am Defiant if I SEPARATEA
I am fake if I ASSIMILATEA
They consider my uniqueness STRANGEB
They call my language SLANGC
They see my confidence as CONCEITD
They see my mistakes as DEFEATD
My questions mean I am UNAWAREE
My advancement is somehow UNFAIRE
To my voice concern is DISCONTENTMENTD
If I stand up for myself I am too DEFENSIVEF
If I don't trust them I am too APPREHENSIVEF

sarah: this poem offers insight I never sought. But grateful. I have created a drama piece incorporating your work, hopefully the audience will be interested to come and seek out your work for themselves. Continue doing an awesome job.
