Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFDGHIJKLMNNDOFP AQC

When I get to be a composerA
I'm gonna write me some music aboutB
Daybreak in AlabamaC
And I'm gonna put the purtiest songs in itD
Rising out of the ground like a swamp mistE
And falling out of heaven like soft dewF
I'm gonna put some tall tall trees in itD
And the scent of pine needlesG
And the smell of red clay after rainH
And long red necksI
And poppy colored facesJ
And big brown armsK
And the field daisy eyesL
Of black and white black white black peopleM
And I'm gonna put white handsN
And black hands and brown and yellow handsN
And red clay earth hands in itD
Touching everybody with kind fingersO
And touching each other natural as dewF
In that dawn of music when IP
Get to be a composerA
And write about daybreakQ
In AlabamaC
