Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLM NHONPQRSNTL UUVWXY VV Z

The world was sizzling with joyA
Until you showed your ugly faceB
The aura of your presenceC
Like acid that burnD
What have we done to deserveE
The torment you inflict on usF
Your dastardly actG
Spanning like wildfireH
Across borders and accross continentsI
With no one to hold you captiveJ
Not even they that hold the rifleK
Could this affliction be a sanctionL
For our transgressionsM
-
Thousands of souls perishing dailyN
Yet you continue to thrive even harderH
Conquering new territoriesO
And filling the world with deep melancholyN
No amount of effort to cripple youP
Seem to be yielding resultQ
O You wicked predicamentR
Haven't you done your worstS
Have you no sense of sympathyN
To compel you to lay downT
Your tool of massive destructionL
-
We're living yet deadU
For our hearts dreadU
Not knowing our fateV
But living by faithW
Unless God intervenesX
We labor in vainY
-
Are you the rapture we awaitV
Or should we continue to waitV
